My boyfriend and I moved in here almost a year ago, and it was BEAUTIFUL when we were given a tour. Nice lawns, pretty apartments, kind of retro appliances, and spacious rooms. So yeah! We rented.
I dont understand what happened. As soon as we moved in the problems started happening. Our stove stopped working, our dishwasher doesn't rinse out the food particles. It keeps them inside unless you vacuum them out, otherwise you're rinsing in dirty water. The mold is ridiculous. Its all over windows, and in the bathroom. The bathroom mirror wasnt on properly when we moved in so when we slid it over, it slid off the holdings and shattered everywhere. When upstairs takes showers it leaks into our apartment and there's a gash in our ceiling. My friends car got towed. All we see is little snotty kids running around in the middle of the street and you can honk and yell at them, and they just laugh at walk slower.
It rained pretty heavily a few weeks ago and the sewer backed up into our bathtub. Maintenance fixed it, but they cleaned it up with our towels. Then we go outside and our "yard" in front is covered in feces, urine, and toilet paper. We had to call twice to have them clean it up. It still smells disgusting. Not to mention our bathtub is disgusting and even after comet, bleach, Lysol...whatever. Its still unclean.
We had to buy extension cords for every room because only one plug out of four will work. We complained. Nothing! After we put the deposit down for our cat, we went to go get a copy of it. the girl working there at the time, Sarah...told us she was leaving on vacation in a few hours, and to come back tomorrow so someone could COPY A PIECE OF PAPER.
We have three more months left, and we're counting down the days. it's not worth the cheap rent. It's just too stressful to deal with. I'd rather worry about struggling for rent than whether or not my bathroom ceiling is going to collapse.
