Last year, my boyfriend and I visited at least a dozen different apt complexes, a week before we had to move from CA. What sold us quickly--keep in mind it was mid Spring--was the balcony looking out to the Tualatin river, surrounded by trees and birds, a fishing hole right below us, Brown's Ferry Park to the left for walking the dog, and the sweet leasing lady. Other great things: washer & dryer in unit, kitchen pantry, large walk-in closet in bathrm, and outdoor entryway (I hate hallway entries!) I have not had to deal directly w/ management, but the leasing and maintenance staff have been nothing but quick and outstanding to our needs. Some of them have even memorized all the names of people/pets in each home! Our lease ends in less than 2 months, and we've decided this place is way too small. My other cons: the balconies are not covered, so 80% of the year everything out there gets drenched; the city has recently plowed down many of the beautiful trees along the river to build a concreted walkway; although rent is cheap, no utilities are covered; the walls are very thin and insulation's not so great; and fishing' horrible, but the river is slow-moving fertilizer run-off anyway! For the most part, I have felt at home here. Being that it is very quiet and have never had problems with neighbors or intruders, I have felt very safe. I'm very sad to be leaving!
