Well, where should I begin' We moved into these apartments when they were brand new. It was nice having a new apartment for the first few months until they started to fill up. Then we noticed that there were police cars in the parking lot ALL the time, fights breaking out ( one night the police had the entrance blocked off and we couldnt get in without checking in with the patrol officer)and then it went from that to drug busts, domestic violence, etc. The office will deny the drug busts but we have talked with detectives when they were going around asking questions. There was a teenager that died at 13 to rumors of drug overdose. We were able to kind of hide out of the way of all this and put up with it to save money in moving costs as we looked for a house. That was not a smart move on our part. We soon got very noisy neighbors and it was evident that the office was not going to do anything about it but cater to the neighbors above us! We had to call the police at 2 am to have them come tell the guy to be quiet and then the guy would come down and knock on our door. VERY scary! We FINALLY moved and OH WHAT A JOY IT HAS BEEN! My husband no longer has to sleep with ear plugs in and my family is so much happier. Woodridge does NOT provide homes, they proved motels at best! Did I mention garbage, beer cans, joints, etc left all over the grounds and cans and cans of cig. butts FULL to the brim on decks. Not only a fire hazard but YUCK! I should mention too that we got most of our deposit back but they charge through the nose for EVERY little thing they can! We lived there a little over 2 years and it was as new as the day we moved in and they charged us $40 bucks for a new closet door, as a little tiny peice had peeled off (very tiny) when I had taped xmas cards to the door. I bet they didn't even replce it.
