i've lived here 2 years and am finally able to get out!!! Not only have I had to deal w/ my neighbor cooking drugs below me and the management did nothing when I told them, he was killed by the cops feet away from my deck, after he got high and did a home invasion on neighbor. My car windsheild was shot out by kids thinking it was "cool" to shoot their bee-bee gun at people. Tons of gang graffiti that the maintenance constantly have to paint over, no parking for people, and the parents don't watch their kids. The kids run the complex and constantly vandalize people's property, cars, clubhouse, etc. You put a complaint in and the management doesn't follow up with you no matter how many times you ask them to help you out. yes they are very nice people, however, the main manager doesn't do anything to evict and get the problems out. Cops are here basically every night and they're tired of having to respond, making their response time slower. It's the GHETTO of Tualatin. It's a nightmare here w/occasionally decent nights. If the management did their job and had support, it would be better. At least I have 2 good neighbors,we stick together and help each other thru the rough nites, which is almost every nite. no authority here. If you're looking for a place to get away w/parties, loud music and base and harrassing other neighbors, domestic violence and drugs, then move here. the rest....well, need I say more. I don't feel safe here at all!!! find somewhere else to live. Also, they day no dogs, but you have to dodge the dog crap from residents claiming they have a doctor's note saying they need a "companion."

From Worthless Ridge poster: I am with you on this one. Didn???t they do a 24 hour inspection on the entire place prior to your neighbor being "taken out" by the police? They did a bang up job finding the 5 foot tall pot plant and drug lab with that inspection huh? Like you I am outa here in just over a month. The state needs to come in and clean the place out as it is nothing more than a drug dealer???s paradise and children???s orphanage.

I completely agree. That neighbor, I remember the night before the inspections, knocking on his door to ask him to turn his music down, when he answered, I could tell he was high on something. he was very nervous, etc. a few days after the inspection, I ran into him in the parking lot and he told he how pissed he was that a maintenance guy called they cops on him for his pot plants. they searched his place but due to him having a medicinal license for the plants, i don't know what they did. he also told me that's why he was so "paranoid" the night before. he was "cleaning" and didn't want the complex to think he was a slob. I know he was on drugs and tried to tell management several times they need to check on him. anywho, I agree, section 42 is not privately owned and the state has a responsibility besides the owners and management. I saw a neighbor pull a guy and fire it off in the air to get a few "thugs" away and out of here. I'm 4'8", like I can really defend myself. this place is pure hell. my boyfriend doesn't believe all the time how bad it is here. anywho, I hope that where ever you're moving, you'll be much happier and feel safer. thank you for giving me the reassuring that my immediate neighbors and I aren't crazy. have a great night.

As for the children, I weep for the future. If the are it, things don't look so promising.

Shame on you! The kid was harmless. Even the person whose house he wandered into was sad that he was killed. And you were even his friend. How was the book he gave you?

Your postings doesn't make any sense. The first posting says that they told management about a drug problem and they didn't do anything about it. But then it says that management did an inspection on the apartment and even called the police on the guy. That sounds like they did something. If the police couldn't do anything about medicinal marijuana then what was management supposed to do? I don't know if the same office staff is there now, but the people that are there right now have been responsive to my concerns. I've walked around at night and haven't noticed any problems. Its been over a year since the original post was made, so maybe things have turned around or something. But I'm perfectly happy here.
