Great place to live!

I moved in eight months ago. Since I have been here, I have had excellent service by ALL the staff here. I have requested many service calls (perhaps even been a pest) from changing light bulbs (yup, they will do that for you) to changing out the heating element in my dryer that is taking too long to dry. Each interaction with their staff (maintenance person or office staff) has been wonderful. They are polite, pleasant and extremely helpful. They respond promptly to any of my needs and are professional.
The majority of my neighbors at Cascade Summit are 'mature' and quieter than I expected (no, not retirement home quiet). When I sold my home and moved here (just for a year) I was very apprehensive - I don't like noise and I will not hesitate to complain and make a fuss about it. I did make one complaint to the management about noise and the problem was taken care of for me immediately and with a smile. Also, not having teenagers and parties next-door helps the noise level a lot!
Yes, perhaps they do have a few parking issues. There may not be space enough for everyone to park within spitting distance of his or her doorway but that's also true about the mall or Wal-Mart or any grocery store. If you feel you need to park next to your front door - DON'T RENT (Duh!'). There are tons of handicapped parking spots, so if you do indeed NEED to park next to your home you should be able to. I have not been affected - I was given a designated covered parking place near my home and I use it.
I love having 24 hr access to the workout room. I drag my 3 yr old in and he watches TV while I work out. I've always had to have a gym membership and drive a half hour just to work out. Now I just walk half a block and workout - what a great extra! They also have free hot chocolate and cookies in the office (keeps the 3 yr old quiet and happy while I workout).
The best thing about Cascade Summit is the bi-monthly community events. During Thanksgiving, they had a huge meal (free) for all the residents and their families. For X-mas they had 'dessert with Santa', wonderful deserts and of courses Santa was there for the kids. These events are always free!!!
I have made lots of new friends while living here... the community events not only give people a sense of community, but help you meet and get to know your neighbors. Again, a great place to live!
