The Great and the Ugly

We really like it here. It's great to be on the hill and so close to Safeway and Starbucks! Our apartment is backed up to a Christmas tree farm and is very peaceful. The complex was built in two phases and I feel that our phase has more adequate parking than the other. My husband and I have two cars and one is in our assigned covered parking spot and the other has to park in general parking, never really had problems finding a spot. The complex looks lovely and the inside of the apartments is nice looking as well. They are very animal friendly here, our dog loves it! Having a pet here does come at a steep price though, with a large non-refundable deposit and monthly pet rent.
The maintenance crew is very friendly and responsive. Apparently some residents have them come over for extremely trivial needs (unclogging toilets, light bulbs, etc), so it might take a day or so before they make it over if it's not an emergency.
We chose our floorplan based on the square footage of the master room and after moving in, learned that they "approximated" by feet, not inches. All told, it's a large and well laid out floor plan, but if you're looking for a specific size make sure you measure first. The management was non-pulsed when we complained and suggested we break our lease if we were unhappy. Since then though we haven't run into any problems.
As soon as our lease is up there will be a huge rent increase and we will be leaving. If it wouldn't become so overpriced, we'd stay here for as long as possible.
