Long term, downhill run

At first when we moved into this complex back in 2001, the office staff was the besta nd maintenence was usually done the same day. Grounds were beautiful and the pool was well maintained. The clubhouse was always accessable and the office inviting. Over the past couple of years the office staff was changed out and the grounds crew was replaced, again and again. The play area for the kids is now a dirtlot with equipment falling apart. The pool has electrical wires IN it from a light that has YET to be repaired for YEARS now. Trash overflows regularly. Maintanence man is a wonderful fellow, but is now doing a job it took 3 to do previously and he gets overwhelmed. We have had maintenence requests go undone for over a month recently. Packages have been lost from the office. And the office has started to tone down on the overbearing flowery perfume scent, thank goodness. Parking can be tricky. Apartments do heat up in summer and are drafty in winter. Cleaning the pool is not always a priority in the summer. Owners will hassle you if you place an air conditioner in your window or get satelite television installed. Outside lights that burn out take an average of 5 months to be replaced. And it keeps going downhill. The only upgrade the complex has gotten since the new management crew was installed was barkchips around the apartments. All we got was worse maintenence, closed office during office hours (for hours at a time sometimes), overflowing trash, an office crew that will say anything but do nothing to address your concerns, and a break in to your car at least once a year.

At this very moment, a dog is left on the upper level apartment and is barking constantly. The "office staff" couldn't care less since I have already complained about this problem before. If you need an apartment and have any size dog that barks, Berkshire Court will welcome you with open arms. Cats are welcome as well too. Unsightly droppings every where there are inconsiderate pet owners. /sigh |
