Horrible...

When you come to look at the apartments, they show you the nice clean one in a quiet area, but when you move in, you get something totally different. The three bedroom apartments have two large rooms, and then one "shoebox" room. The most I can fit in there comfortably is a small desk, a twin bed, and a few other small items.
My room is also facing the street and at night, a light attached to the side of the opposite apartment turns on and glares into my room. Whoever painted this apartment was obviously blind because there is paint on the door hinges, the windows, the heaters, some doorknobs and even the outlets.
Speaking of the outlets, they are horrible. Every time I plug something in, it falls out because the outlets are too loose. I've resorted to /taping/ things into the plugs to get them to stay.
The window in my room is very heavy and was apparently not installed correctly because it sits on an angle in the frame, letting cold air in winter. I've also used tape to fix that. [All hail electrical, duct, and packing tape!]
All they have in the bedrooms are sliding closet doors. The first day we moved in, the tracks for my sister s closet doors broke and now she can't close them. A few months ago I was leaning slightly against one of the panels and one of the tracks broke in half. There are extremely heavy mirrored sliding doors in the master bedroom, which are a pain to move back and forth.
The layout of the kitchen is also not very good. You can have up to two people maximum in there, not considering having the fridge or stove open...
One last thing, the previous tenants were not exactly outstanding people. When we moved in we were swarmed by calls for hundreds of different businesses asking for the person who lived there before us. Several nasty messages were also left from a company called Liberty Mutual.

Problems with electrical outlets? No kidding! They have a fire at that apartment complex about every six months! I'd move or make sure you have plenty of renters insurance!
