Unbelievable Move Out Fees

I lived there for 2 years. We had mold problems the entire time. Poor insulation around the windows would cause excessive moisture to build up not only around windows but the molding along the exterior walls. Had to use a mild bleach solution weekly to keep on top of the problem. I moved into a used apartment, the carpet was not new, and had some wear & tear, along with everything except the fresh paint on the walls. We had a pipe leak under the kitchen sink that took them over 4 months to repair. They never properly replaced the kitchen molding after completing the repair. Upon moving out they billed me for every little nick, even wear & tear that was prior to my move-in. They even build me for a maintenance repair that I had requested 2 weeks prior to moving out. They do NOT allow for any wear to the apartment unit. I have never had to pay additional money at previous apartments, this was a complete racket, BEWARE!

I previously left a positive response, but I, too, was socked with high ($600), move out fees recently.

I used to work there. People get mad when they live in an apartment, treat it like a cave and can't understand why they get mold. Canyon creek is in a WET LAND. The apartments are super insulated to keep moisture out. If they keep it out they keep it in also. All residents sign an Addendum about ventilation.
As for the repair, the delay was caused by resident and vendor scheduling conflicts.
Everything happens by a budget. if you trash an apartment you will be charged for it. just a heads up, life has consequences.
