I really like it here. The staff is fantastic and helpful. My biggest complaint is the lawn. I'd love to be able to go out in the huge courtyard and huck a frisbee from time to time, but it's impossible with-out rain gear and huge rubber boots. The ground is always squishy. Anywhere you go int he main lawn you sink in a couple of inches, even in the summer time. They told me the reason they over water is because it's a dried up lake bed and there's only a bit of topsoil and it drains quickly. Obviously they don't have drainage issues if the ground is ALWAYS grass covered mud. I say let it dry out some. Water less, I wouldn't even mind the grass being more brown. Functionality is more important than looks. If you like LOOKING at a lawn, you'll enjoy this place, but if you want to USE the lawn, you'll have to drive somewhere else.

Are you kidding?? Brown lawn so you can go throw a frisbee. Take a look outside once in a while, people are always playing in the grass, it isn't that bad. Looks are very important in an apartment community, can you imagine people looking to rent here with brown grass and only one happy person living here outside throwing a frisbee?? Sundial would be out of business. Get real.

I agree with the lawn being squishy, but that's only in the mornings. In the evenings, it's fine. Part of it stems from the fact they water and take care of the lawn (not a bad thing) and the other part is it's Portland. ;^)
