I have lived here for over a year and have had few problems. When I moved in, the carpet was new & the walls freshly painted. The kitchen appliances & the bathroom looks outdated, but work just fine. There are several good size closets, which I love. There is always plenty of parking in my section & little noise. A couple of times I needed maintenance, once for a leak from the roof and they came right away and fixed it. The pool is nicely maintained & open a decent amount of hours in the summer. The only problems are that I have seen 2 or 3 humongous cockroaches that found their way into my apartment, which grossed me out. But that was thoughout my first 6 months here, and if you are clean you shouldn't have a problem. I guess there are always dirty people everywhere that cause a problem for their neighbors. I came to Allentown for one day before I moved here & looked at 5 other places before I looked at Allen Gardens & talked to Jerry in the office, who is super nice & sold me on it.
