We've lived in The Lakes for about two years and feel that we are living in a country club. Pool, tennis court, walking path, manicured lawns and wonderful neighbors. The management and maintenance people are great and respond immediately to any request. The only thing lacking is a storage facility for our extra stuff (we moved from a big house).
