Need to Reconsider

This once was a nice place to live. The parking has gotten bad with people who own 2 cars and take up space closest to the building. The noise level has increased and that is by the tenants. They blast music at anytime they feel so you cannot even enjoy being in your own home. Tenants drive their cars with the music so loud it vibrates the windows. The pool is an asset, but only when they feel like opening it. Pool was closed may times this past summer with no explanations. The property manager is unprofessional and unfriendly to those who have questioned policy or who have gone to the management company. The rents have continually increased the last two years by Emess management. They cannot justify $30 and $40 increases every year. Windows carry drafts that cause the heat to run continuously, with the same effect in summer. They will not repair or replace them. With high electric bills and the attached water/sewer bills, this place is no longer attractive.
I think Emess Management has given too much control over the property to the manager. The property manager and her family (several work there) have the say....and dare not go over her head. She will find a way to get you out if you do. Whether by complaint or increased rent. Overall, considering the surrounding area of this community, the rents charged is not a value. There are places just as nice offering the same benefits for less money. Who will also pay heat and hot water.

This tenant is absolutely right. Emess management increase rent $30-$40 yearly with no upgrade or benefits; they are simply robbing their tenants. I would never recommend anyone to rent their properties.

I agree. Emess management is the biggest group of crooks I ever had the misfortune to come in contact with. I've had my experience with them too.

Riverbend Apartments are lovely apartments, it's a shame they are managed by such a crooked company, being Emess Management. I should know, I had the delight of working for them for 4 years and also lived at Riverbend. The owner is a mute who will not communicate with his employees or residents, which leaves his dirty work to his peons. Pure Hell!

I found a bill for $75 under my door at my apartment at Ashley Court Apartments, 10900 Bustleton Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19116 one afternoon. I was accused of breaking a fire alarm, and this fine was supposed to be reimbursement to the complex for the damage. The truth of the matter is that this fire alarm (which was put on the wall by employees or subcontractors employed by Ashley Court Apartments) fell off the wall by itself. I did not touch it. I made a request of that this unjust fee be removed, but the manager of Ashley Court Apartments, Monica, does not return phone calls from her tenants. I am also disturbed by recent proof I have uncovered that Ashley Court knowingly allows illegal immigrants into its apartment complex. I believe there is a reason why Ashley Court is a haven for illegal immigrants ??? to exploit their inability to read and understand the English language. Back in 1999, Emess Management asked tenants to pay an additional $25 to help them pay for their ???Annual License Fee??? (this fee was just as unjust, and was not specifically stated in leases signed during this time period, but was paid without a fight from most non-English-speaking tenants).
