This place has...a lot of property. Some nice big trees, "park like setting". Lots of crows for some reason, too. (outside, I mean!) Other than that, the apts. are TINY, poorly layed out, and if you are on the upper floors, STUFFY in spring/summer and drafty and cold. There's one air conditioner in the livingroom and one in one bedroom. They do not cool the entire tiny apt. anyway.
The kitchen and bathroom are basically the same as they were since it was built, in 1949. White metal cabinets. TINY kitchens. Hardly any closets...storage in musty, smelly basement. THIN walls. Still uses FUSES, and if you run your AC and a toaster or similar, expect them to blow regularly. Few outlets, definitely not designed for the PC generation, though I heard they were upgrading. I lived there in 2002-2001. Day I moved in, felt hot outlet; inside had short circuited and burned some of the wall!!Smells of cigarettes and old people. Oh, and you have to sign a waiver because under all those layers of paint there is the old lead based paint. You have to pay an extra month deposit if you have pets, and extra for each every month, too. That about says it all.
