While it has been 5 years since I lived in Tremont, I can not imagine too much has changed in that time, conisdering the building themselves have not changed too much since before WWII when they went up. During my time, 2 kinds of people live in Tremont. College kids who were not yet grown up enough for independent living, but Mums and Pa still sent them off campus with a $1000 a month allowance and working people who needed to get to work between 6:30 and 8:30 5 or 6 days a week. It was the pragmatic workers who politely clashed with the abnoxious college kids who refused to obey to any of societies dictations to neighborly conduct or respect. Fortunately, my building, Linden was relatively quiet and the regular people out numbered the college students so we did not have many issues. THe management was somewhat slow, but all in all they were responsive and polite. While the units where small and dated, the remote location, pretty surrounding, included utilities and cheap rent made my year and a half there very fun.
