My overall feeling when living there.. I'd say comfy. I like my unit cause it has a big patio with nice view. It's the old apartment side. It is near to the dumpster and the playground. The mailbox is in the building itself so I don't have to collect my mails in the cold or hot. I rent mine, 2bedrooms with 1.5baths at $1109 which is not bad but it's without the microwave, closed kitchen and there's no garbage disposal system. There's a stacked washer n dryer but it's not full size. So everyday I have to wash. The annoying part is the washer starts to make loud noise and bang around when the load is not balanced, which happens quite often. Everytime when that happens, I need to distribute the clothes and restart the spinning cycle. So get ready to tolerate upstairs washer sound as well.

Noise wise... upstairs noise is quite annoying. All the squeaky sound when people walk makes me wonder whether the ceiling is strong enough or whether it can collapse. Advise, get the top unit to avoid all the noise. Surround noise... many kids playing outside after school. Shouting..screaming..loud remote control car zooming around on the open grass.. I like children noise so I don't mind. Noise next door.., nah.. I hardly hear them.

Maintenance.. just one complain. When we just moved in, I noticed there was a crack on the cabinet door under the sink. I noted it in the move in checklist. A maintenance guy checked it out and said need to order the door and replace it but I never hear from him anymore. I was lazy to bug the management too. Other than that, any call for service, they normally show up the same day. Just remember that the apartment is quite old. So it's not as clean as the newer apartment I used to stay in. If you're willing to pay few more hundreds, you can stay in the new building. My friend who is staying in the new building complained about her electric bill cause there're too many light bulbs(down lights') 1 switch turns on few bulbs and I don't think it's energy saving bulbs. Back to my apartment, I don't know why the shower can suddenly turns cold or suddenly too hot in a few second which can really give me a shock. The maintenance guy checked it out but it was still the same.

We have no problem with the parking unless we come home after 10pm. Just need to park a little further. So far I have no problem with the dumpster. They used to have for recycle but it ends up for every trash since the compactor is not enough. I have no experience of having to leave my trash on the road although I did come across other people's trash on the road once.

Move out experience.. I think the management should send someone to go through a move out checklist. There was no move out checklist even. It was too easy. Just sign the pledge, pay $500, give back the keys, parking cards and the gym access key. That's it. Luckily we still got back our security deposit around $400 . They charged $30 for I don't know what cause they didn't even specify it.

One good thing about Trexler, they have this pledge which is beneficial during bad economy. If you lose your job and need to break the lease you only need to pay $500 which happened to my husband. Still need to give 60 days notice though. Luckily he found a new one within 90days. When we asked for a month extension, the management charged us the same rental, which I really appreciate. We chose Trexler over Spring Creek due to this pledge. Actually the rental in Spring Creek was about $80 more with bigger sq ft,garage and storage room but the lease break fee was 3.5 months. We feel so relief that we made the right decision.
