You'll be better off there, or on the streets as the previous reviewer said. I'd call this place a dump, but that'd be too generous.

Let me give you a basic rundown of how "beneficial" the Penn Alto is..

1) Be prepared to have your room broken in to routinely.

2) Be prepared to be treated like the biggest piece of crap alive by the two landlords. Bernice and Dawn are two of the biggest ------- I've EVER encountered, and believe me I've encountered a few in my time. They jack the price of rent for these ------ apartments as high as possible, and trust me it's NOT worth it.

3) The store'' That place is at best a joke. Be prepared to spend 3 dollars on a 2 litre, when you can just walk a block away and get the same thing at Sheetz for a $.99. The food is stale and overpriced.

Trust me, if you're looking for an apartment in the Altoona area, avoid this place at all costs, unless you like throwing your money away. Bernice and Dawn, may karma come back to bite both of you in a very bad way.
