The decor is dreary and the walls are cinderblock, but rent is reasonable and you get a lot of space for the money. The building is conveniently located (Trader Joes, the Farmers Market and Suburban Square are very close). They advertise a workout room but be sure to see it for yourself. There are two gyms within walking distance of this building though.
I didnt have any big maintenance issues while I was there. Anything minor was fixed right away and the maintenance staff was good. The A/C and heat worked well. This building splits an overall gas bill among the tenants - read the lease carefully and ask questions!! The utility bills can be hundreds of dollars in the winter (the highest month was $290 I believe) as a result. My neighbors had mice but I only saw one in my apartment. The maintenance crew took care of it right away.
Be advised that if you are living with a boyfriend/girlfriend/fiance and only one of you is signing the lease, the non-signors name will not be on the mailbox (and the non-signor cannot receive mail). Not a big issue as you can just introduce yourself to the mailman and let him know who lives in the apartment, but still kind of a pain. In addition, if only one person is signing the lease they do not give out a 2nd set of keys. Again, not a big deal but just very strange.
The neighbors here were friendly and are a mix of young and old. The management can be very rude, but if you dont have to deal with them and don't mind the issues discussed above, this is an ok building.

We moved out in March to buy a house, and did not find any of this review to be true. The only cinderblock is in the basement and laundry room. The decor is far from dreary. The halls have new carpet and paint. My utility bills were never what this reviewer alleges! Not even close. And that bit about if you're not on the lease, you can't receive mail is another fabrication. When I first moved in with my boyfriend, I wasn't on the lease, and I was able to recieve mail. And, thank you very much Harrison Richards for not just giving out keys to every Tom, ---- and Harry who is not on the lease. This would be a major safety issue, as far as I'm concerned. See it for yourself and talk to existing tenants. We were very happy there.

My roommate was not on the lease, could not receive mail and the management refused to add my roommate to the mailbox roster. I can't speak for others, but that was my experience; this is not a fabrication.
I am not really sure what the last comment was referring to regarding keys; I was simply stating that I would expect a complex to provide two people moving into a 2br apartment with two sets of keys (at the time of move-in). They didn't. As I said before a second set of keys can be made, so this is not a big deal.
