Great Apartment/Great People - No Problems

Me and my Fiancee have lived in this apartment complex for over two years and have never had a serious problem with anything. We have had minor maintenance needs that were taken care of within days if not several hours. The maintenance staff at this apartment is a Father and Son team. They are two of the nicest guys I have ever meet in my life and would do anything for you. Those two guys and Bob's wonderful and amazingly sweet wife are one of the main reasons we stayed at this apartment as long as we did. Just knowing that people think of you as friends rather then a tenants makes a big difference for us. The apartment complex recently got bought out by Halfpenny Management about three months ago. The new management company has recently started major repairs and rehabbing the vacant apartments. New windows and blinds are being added to all the units to replace the out dated old windows. The old management company never had any plans to update these apartments and Halfpenny started this process within months of their ownership. Several people in the complex go around bad mouthing this company for their Heat and How Water Costs and poor management tactics. I hate to inform you but Halfpenny will do nothing but try and help you if you don't attack them with your own personal problems. Some people feel that if they don't pay their rent they should still have a place to live and still get repairs done to his/her apartment. Other people have lived here for so long that it seems they are afraid of change and don't want to give anyone or anything new a chance. It seems that those two people are the only ones with a major problem with Halfpenny. I feel that if you fix your own personal issues that you may see that the Halfpenny buy out is a good thing and can only make your apartment better. As for the Heat and Hot Water, everyone knows that this bill will go up in the summer and down in the winter. This is expected when you use your heat in the winter and not in the summer. Also it acts as a trade off with you electricity bill. In the winter you electricity is lower and you Heat and Hot Water is higher and vice versa. So you basically pay the same amount all year round for both bills except one bill is higher then the other at different time. So in closing We think that Halfpenny is doing a great job improving and updating this apartment complex. They have very nice people working in their local office and in their corporate office. I had a very nice experience this morning with their local office employees and I found out that they are a mother and daughter team. Which I think is great because they work so well together and are a pleasure to deal with. We feel that this apartment complex is great for anyone. The management company and the maintenance team here make a great pair and truly do care about their tenants. We would recommend this apartment complex to everyone out their looking for a great place to live.
