We moved into Franklin Common in September and already I can't wait to leave this pit. First good rain we had spurred two leaks, one of which was directly above the head of our bed. Gee, we didn't need that mattress any way (sarcasm). Neighbors let their dogs poo all over the lawn, along with chucking their cigarette butts where ever they please. The draft is unbelievable, no matter how we turn the heat up, it's bitter cold. Then there was the lovely experience of the roofers (when they came about a month later to fix everyones roof). They shook the apartment so hard that the fan fell from the ceiling in the kitchen (the vent fan in front of the stove). The rooves took 2 weeks to finish, starting every day promptly at 8am. Some of us the mornign to sleep and the night to work. There is also a lovely crack making its way up our bedroom wall. Four months and we've had 7 power outages. The shower is tempermental.....yes, it's shared with 3 other tenants, but that doesn't excuse the lack of water pressure.
The office was so very kind when first we met, promising us a washer and dryer installed. After everything was paid they said they could not install...that we could either get portables or use the laundry mat. We opted for portable; $30 a month extra. Well, when we used them we had to place a bucket under to keep the kitchen from flooding. So, of couse, we call the office and tell them we don't want them. Well, we're told we're obligated to pay for 3 months use...whether we use them or not. They are nasty people in the office. Call them with a problem and they give you a "what do want ME to do about it" attitude.
I wouldn't recommend this hell hole to anyone. Not ever. I know shelters with more luxury.
