Maintenance

I had many things break during the two years that I lived there including: a broken railing, broken wash machine, leaking ceiling, broken door, flooding etc). Maintenance is very unresponsive and it will often take 3-4 phone calls before they come out. And when they do they will attempt a quick fix (e.g. spackle to repair the railing). Maintenance personnel also entered my apartment without permission to replace an electrical box.

Electric
My electric bills averaged between $110 and $160 per month for a small one bedroom apartment. I now live in a 3 bedroom home in the same town and pay $80-$100 per month.


Management
1. Although my rent was automatically charged to my credit card I received late charges on two occasions.

2. When I moved out, the management office made 4 errors: 1- they charged the incorrect amount for the last month?s rent, 2- they incorrectly charged my credit card twice for the last month?s rent 3- they lost my check for payment of the electric bill and 3-they took $75 from my security deposit for a non-existent carpet stain.

After numerous phone calls the management office staff finally corrected the amount and credited my account for the duplicate rent charge. However they never found my check and refused to correct the $75 fee. After contacting the corporate office the local management office refunded half the fee and the manager threatened me with a lawsuit if I pursued the issue further.

Prior to moving to Korman Suites I lived at Franklin Commons Apartments which is located only about 2 miles away. I would stronly recommend that apartment complex over Korman Suites.
