Apartment has its Pro's and Con's

I have lived here since spring 2008, At first it was excellent but after awhile I started to notice little things.
Cons- Most people don't pick up after there pet and finding parking is impossible anytime after 6pm(earlier on weekends). Although maintenance is quick to respond they are ineffective. The apartment complex is not kid friendly since there is no playground and the management office sends notices saying that children are not allowed to play in the grass. Storage space is ample at first but runs out extremely quickly; especially in the kitchen and bathroom (they are very small). The walls and floors are paper-thin and if the neighbor were to fart you could probably hear it. Everything in the apartment is electric (Heat, Hot water, Stove, etc...) so I rarely have an electric bill lower than $170(maybe in the spring or fall when I don't use the heat or AC).
Pros- Location is great, The complex is within walking distance of just about anything you would ever need (Bus, Shopping, Food, WaWa). The neighbors are nice and I haven't had a problem with security. You only share a common entrance with one other apartment and the mail goes to an address and not an apartment number (Looks good on a resume). Pricing is reasonable and leasing is available in a year or on a month-to-month basis.
As for my recommendation: Great for a bachelor, but for a family just starting out I would say keep looking.

I completely agree with your pros and cons. They do offer flexible leasing arrangements and it is nice to have a real address, not a mailbox. And definitely agree with the comments about the electric bill, the ineffective maintenance, and the pet droppings. I had a pet there and always picked up and appreciated that management provided the doggie bags to do it, but it seems no one else used them because i ruined at least two pairs of shoes there stepping in droppings.
Definitely fine for short term, I wouldn't recommend planning to stay there long term.
