DISGUSTED BY THE ELECTRIC BILLS..............

This place is one of the most outrageos places I've ever seen in regards to electricity charges. Everything in the apartment is electric. I only have a 1 bedroom apt, and my electric bill is always around $120 if not more. I've heard some people say their bills were $300 or more. Our apt always has cold air blowing through in the winter and hot air blowing through in the summer. You just can't win except for spring and fall, even then you're electric bills are on around $90-$100. I've lived in other apts and never paid more than $80 and that was over the summer when my air conditioner was running ALL DAY!!! It's cheaper to pay the electric bill on a 2 story house than it is on one of these apartments.

Second of all, my apartment has 4 phone jacks, out of those 4 jacks - ONLY 1 OF THEM WAS GOOD!!! Just after moving in I called the rental office and their response was "we don't handle that, you'll need to call you're phone company". When I called the phone company they wanted to charge me a service fee for coming out, and then told me that if they needed to be replaced that I'd have to pay for it!!! I cancelled the apointment, and I don't even have a house phone, I just use my cell. I should at least be given an apartment with 4 working phone jacks!!!

Do yourself a favor and shop around, there are much less expensive places out there. Getting a place that offers to include the heat, hot water & cooking gas in your rent will save you alot of money.

Good Luck!!!

I know exactly what you mean, my electric bill last month was $190.00. That was with my thermostat at below 70 degrees. Now to renew your lease the rent went up $30.00, if I don't move I'm looking at a rent of $939.00 plus an extremely high electric bill. Pay more money for an apartment that has not gotten any upgrades, too expensive!!!!!

I totally agree regarding the electric bills. I have lived here for about 7 years and the electric bills are outrageous!! My highest electric bill was over $300 in the summer. I pay more for my electric than a friend of mine living in a single family house twice the size of my apartment. As far as the rent increases, I dont really have any complaints other than they have tried increasing it by about $50 dollars every year, but, all I have to do is call them & complain & they reduce it. I am going to have to move soon though....since I've lived here so long & the rent increases every year, my rent is going up to about $1000/mo & I cant afford it anymore. I would be willing to pay that for a single family house, but, not a 2 bedroom apt.
