I was being transferred to the area and had Longmeadow picked out as pretty much my only housing option. I called and set up an appointment for a Saturday viewing. They typically don't do this, but ----- told me that she'd make an exception and meet me. I booked my 1800 mile flight and hotel room for the appointment. Prior to leaving for the airport, the next Friday morning, I called to confirm that I'd be met and given a tour on Saturday morning. Saturday morning rolled around, I called the office and spoke to the receptionist. No sign of my leasing agent. She wasn't there and was not answering/returning calls. This place has an extremely irresponsible staff. Hopefully, the leasing agents work on commission, and others read this. I pretty much flushed $1400 down the drain, wasted 3 days of time that I didn't have to waste, and flew back to Colorado without finding an apartment. And I already had the lease signed.

I do not agree with you. ----- does not and will not ever agree to show an apartment on a saturday because she cannot get there to do so. Another way most people on here can tell that you probably arent being truthful is because there is no way this could be your only housing option...there are apartment complexes coming out the wazoo around here. I do not mean to come at you, but i think you are being dishonest about this....and one last thing, if you are this disappointed you should have left your name instead of posting anonymously.

Hi Jayburger and the other Mr./Mrs. Anonymous: 1) -------(not sure why there was the need to not include her name) absolutely is in the office on Saturdays, and at times on Sundays as well. Whether or not she gives showings is another story, but to say that she has no way of getting to the office on the weekend is completely incorrect... am I the only one who has seen her driving her pretty ----------------??? 2) I completely believe Mr. Anonymous. I've lost count of the number of times I've been told BY -------that she or someone else would call or come by my apartment -- when that doesn't happen and I call back I almost always get some excuse, such as "oh, I didn't write that down..." or some other BS. 3) Top-to-bottom the company that runs Longmeadow sucks. End of story. The main office staff members (in Highland Park, NJ) are belligerent, the leasing office staff at both TH and LM are clueless at best and completely irresponsible at worst, no one on the maintenance staff has any kind of proper certification to do the work that they do, dumpsters and trash cans by mailboxes are always overflowing, exterior lights are frequently burned out... the place is just a mess. 4) To balance #3, it wasn't always this way. In fact, when my wife and I moved in 4 years ago we were extremely happy with the office staff and the maintenance crew (both have 100% different personnel now). However, the owner of Oxford Realty sold the business to a relative a few years ago who IMHO is running both Longmeadow and Thunder Hollow into the ground. It's a shame really. I say bring back -------------... they'll shape things up.
