Me, my husband, and toddler just moved out to purchase a house. I received our security deposit minus $115 for housecleaning. We cleaned the carpets, scrubbed the oven, tile, etc. We made sure everything was clean. I call the office to ask for the details of the housecleaning fee and she said it's in my lease, the apartment had to be cleaned. I did take pictures so I'm waiting for her call back to find out exactly what it was that we didn't clean so I can prove that we did in fact clean it. I wouldn't have wasted my time cleaning if I knew we would be charged a fee anyway. That should be stated in the lease.
