Surprised so many people have the same complaint!

I am so surprised that so many people have the same feeling as I do.
First, response to maintenance is terrible. They will not respond to your complaints about noise, broken air-conditioner... They will only respond to problems regarding to heating since it is regulated by law. There was one weekday when I was on vacation and saw five women from rental office were shopping at Frankin Mills Mall, including the property manager. It was a weekday afternoon and during business hour. that's where my money is going.
Two, the property manager has a horrible attitude. She enjoys her little "power" so much and I guess she will be defined as some one who needs consulation if her behavior is observed closely by Psychiatrist.
Third, they messed up my lease and rent. I did not receive anything from them and they say my lease was automatically renewed. They gave me the amount of the new rent and we paid for it. One day we are late for the payment and received a written notice which shows that the rent should actually be $30 less. They do everything without your signature. And there is no written policy most of the times, what they say is the policy. They would not even listen to you but yell at you. I hired an attorney and got out of this mess finally.
Fourth, my husband and I were having coughing all the time. We cannot find the reason, some professional cleaner came in and told us the air duct has not been cleaned for at least 20 years and there were all kinds of contamination from there. Ironically, when we moved out, the apartment said that we should hire some professional to steam clean the carpet and show them the receipt.
I may can live with the noise. But I couldn't bear with their attitute and service anymore. It's like you are paying the money for their attitude, not that what you pay feed them.
