I'm also surprised by all the negative reviews. We've lived here for two years and love it. Sure, like every place, it has a few problems, but they are very few and far between.
The grounds at Salem Harbour are gorgeous. Our apartment has a view of the river and golf course. Our apartment is clean and quiet, too. We haven't had any bug problems at all.
I've only had to deal with maintenance once, to fix a leak in our roof, and they were at my door within 15 minutes. They were very friendly as well.
My biggest problem with Salem Harbour is the parking situation, but I think the problem has more to do with the tenants than with management. When our lot fills up (which happens pretty rarely), people will illegally double-park rather than walk the 500 extra feet from the neighboring parking lot. God forbid anyone get any exercise. Sorry... just wanted to vent my frustration.
