I have lived in Shaminy brook for 11 years. Let me tell you,it is the worst of the worst in Bucks county. The air conditioning does not work. It is advertised as central air, but it has never been adequate. They put in a new system, and it works worst then the 30 year old one which they replaced. My electric bills last June, July and August were in the high two hundreds ($260. - $293) for a ONE bedroom apaertment. We had to add our own,(at our expense) portable air conditioner, because they will not let you put one in the window ( cost $350.00 ). Maintenance is miserable and BALKS about anything they do, and balks to the tenant as if they are doing us a favor..hey, wait a minute, don't I pay to live here' Aren't I their customer' Their attitude is, if you don't like it here,, LEAVE. I was actually told that by a staff memer a few years ago. She is no longer here! The lady they replaced her with is very, very, nice, but ineffective.
The place looks like a slum. I found this site when I was looking for a NEW apartment. I was very perturbed when they started charging money to replace mini blinds that are broken. They buy the very cheapest ones, then when they break they say it is the tenants fault..MOST of the apartment have broken, and very discolored blinds, leading to a slumish appereance to the entired apartment complex. The laundry rooms are filthy and the machines are pretty much always in disrepair. All complaints fall on deaf ears. They care absolutely NOTHING about their tenant. They treat us as if we were thorns in their side. Drive thru, if you think I am exagerating! Take particular note of the grounds, excluding the front because they keep those fairly decent in an attempt to attract visitors. the garbage areas, the laundry rooms, the blinds and patios filled with JUNK! The parking lot, the broken up fences. etc, etc,
We are getting out of here.! I have had enough. Glad I found this site, so I could vent before we leave!!!!!!!!Never rent here, you will be sorry. I have never in 11 years found one satisfied tenant..not one! that is a pretty poor record!
I do however want to add three nice things to this review: the apartment itself has big rooms and very cozy,if they could just move the lay out away from Shaminy brook, and it's STAFF ,it would be a nice apartment.but unfortunately we have to deal with them as well, and we have to walk outside to see the slum! Also ,the location, and the fact that it is a private entrance apartment is a plus.

if it's so bad then why do you keep living there after 11 years?? move to a new place.

ya why are you still there if its so bad. why not just move out and get a better place. grow up find something better to do with your time than write stuff like this online wow you must have no life at all.
