i moved in march 11, 2006. The woman told my fiance and I that we can start moving at 8am but we have to get our keys at 11am. We stopped by the apartment before getting the keys and I had to check the house number on my lease to make sure it was correct. It looked like the previous renters dirty house..but with new carpets! (but they let you keep the scraps by throwing them in your "backyard" along with dead palnts, weeds, etc. I should of ran but I was promised they would fix everything within a week. Plus they fixed my rotting doorframe, took back the extra unwanted scraps of carpet from the yard, and sent out a "professional" cleaner..aka drug/alcohol abuser...and made it look like it was in move in condition. They said they would fix the remaining problems...now I have those remaining problems plus the ecent ones. I have a total of 13 problems and been calling since monday (more than once a day). Monday I got "ok..leave me your number I'll call you back." She never did..I called back. It was the worst game of phone tag! Then Tuesday after the 3rd phone call (and no call back like she said) I was told "oh your new dishwasher is in and they said they will install it tomorrow because it was too late. They will be there tomorrow morning." I asked her to call them back so they can fix the two lights I have out so I can see in my closets and she said sure, no problem! For one second I forgot about my other problems and had faith that I was gonna see the light (literally!) But they didnt show. In the morning I decided to leave a note on my door so they can fix all the problems. In the note I stated "come in even if im not home and have it all done by 6pm. Came home at 2:30 not done. I called the lying woman and she said they were comming. I mentioned to her that I left a note and as soon as I said that she said "oh oh yea...they went to your house and you werent home. You said they cant go in unless your home." (which is a lie because I clearly stated Tuesday night that I could careless at this point I just want it done!!! I told her I was home now and she said "ok I'll be here." Around 4:30 I called..again and told her I was leaving to pick up my daughter from daycare and they can go in when I'm not that there. Came back at 6....not done. I tried to remain calm but these "people" are just so unbelievable! I guess they think I"m stupid! So Thursday I go to work..at 9:30am I called and She said "I PROMISE they'll will be there today! I was so excited! I didnt think they could screw me this time. I go home, nothing done. I called she said they're comming. I'm no the kind of person who likes to yell and get angry. My fiance is..thats why I told him I would take care of this crap because I thought if I used the calm and nice approach, they would come. She around 5 My fiance called because I gave up And I wanted a working stove so I could make dinner!!! He called many times..he did yell alittle bit but you would get pissed if you heard the BS she was saying. First she said "Oh they came but the note on your door said dont go inside." The note I left said and I quote "MAINTANCE go in if im NOT home!"(in clearly printed english!) Then we got " The maintance guy said someone answered the door and said nothing was broken and we didnt need him!" Keep in mind 2 adults and an infant live here and were the only ones home. My fiance was freaking out and they professional woman who is suppose to help..hung up on him! He called back and the manager answered and told him he didnt have to yell but you would be yelling too if you heard what she had to say..ok..we all where home from 1pm until now (10pm) She said "They where just at your house an hour ago and no one was home" We told her we've been waiting all day for them and then she goes..."Well, the note on your door said not to go in." We told her to come over and look for herself because it was clear as day. She said she was comming but in order to get a maintance guy to our home we lied and said our heat was broken because I've learned if you tell them that..they come right away. I guess my 13 problems dont matter even though I'm paying 1165.00 a month. I dont know where my money is going. Oh and ge this...remember how I told you my apartment looked like hell when I moved in...They are working on an empty apartment across the court yard. They spent all day fixing the problems of an empty apartment where no one lives..but avioded the broken apartment with living people who pay way too much to be getting screwed over and over again! Didnt make sense to me. After talking to manager who said she was comming to check it out a maintance guy does show up to fix my dryer...woopie!(sarcasm.) he said he was comming back before 10am tomoorrow but I doubt it. If he doesnt show up I'm calling everyone in my power to take these people down. when you sign the lease you have to pay a township inspection fee. When we moved in on the 11th the manager told us they didnt inspect it and since I've lived here...I havnt seen them.I'll call them tomorrow. I found rotting wood around my door. My place looks like its sinking on one side...thats why the door frame bottom is broken and loose and I keep tripping over the damn thing! They tried shoving pieces of wood under it but it didnt work. I thought this webside was nothing but a bunch of unhappy people exagerating but the sad part is.... Its true! I wish I could of read this sooner. I do hear the tvs at night. Maintance dont show up. they lie to you. they give you the worst excuses. my house is sinking. its old. parking sucks because i have to walk 50 ft from car to house and vice versa(if i get the good spot). Is it possible I can say anything good about this place..' if you have a dog i guess its good and you have a 2nd floor but the floors creak badly when your fiance is up there walking around. But..your still connected to someone on the side and I hear a tv in my room until 1 am or 2am. If you like headaches, like walking/running/hiking to your house/car, stress and have alot of money to waste then thunder hollow is for you. also they have alot of closet space.
lets see...my headaches!
1. Screen door missing.
2. Closet light in den broken.
3. Closet light in walkin closet in bedroom..broken.
4. vent above stove not working since monday so i cant use it and had to order out or eat cereal all day.
5. Still never got that dishwasher...
6. The bottom of the door frame..ewww and ouch
7. outside storage door broken
8. I had oven racks missing since i moved in..they did give me some nasty USED ones and said they ordered new ones for me...never got them
9. Toilet paper holder missing from bathroom
10. It takes 3 cycles for my clothes to dry..and after the 3rd cycle they're still damp!
11. Large draft comes from my from door causing me to dress for winter in my home because I refuse to but my heat on 80..I can only guess how much my bill with be this month. you might raed about me in the obituaries soon.
12. the vertical blinds...broken.
13. My wasking machine sounds like a lawn mower! and I'm not talking about a distant one. I was doing the dishes (bc I have no dishwasher) and I thought someone was in the bathroom mowing my laundry.
Also, I have the running toilet but I try to ignore that along with the tv next door. I'm not happy at all witht his place..Maybe if i was paying 700 incl. heat, hot water, elc I would be alittle happy. Signing this lease was the biggest mistake of my life! I ahve proof that these people dont care about you (just your money) so email me. I thought this website was bogus but its not. the only untrue thing i see hear is the staff writting comments that thunder hollow is a "nice" place to live. Its only nice when your driving by or checking out the model apartment that looks alot nicer compared to what you get...i think im gonna get a 2nd job to avoid this place until my lease is up!

I just read this review--Excellent. I hope the author realizes that its not just her its happening to everyone here at Thunder Hollow. Maybe we should start a support group!

Sounds par for the course- empty promises and lies. We too were supposed to have an inspection- perhaps they were paid to stay away- after all, we wouldn't want the inspectors to be subject to breathing the dust and the MOLD. Leave that for us residents. The sooner we die, the sooner they can re-rent a dirty dilapidated unit at a higher street rate

Its all true. We have lived here for 2 years. The only reason we are staying is because we intend on moving to Vermont in another 1-2 years and it would be senseless for us to move into amother rental. Heat sucks. 250/month for elec in winter and still cold. Heat/ac is from when these units were built. Have to pay for water/trash and everyone in Bensalem dumps there trash in our dumpsters.There is no Maint. They tell you to drop off a note. Thats all. Nothing will ever happen. I refuse to fix anything myself. Believe what you read here. Oh how I miss my garden apt in Toms River. At least there i got what I paid for. Very overpriced for what you get.

It's not just Thunder Hollow. Long Meadow is feeling your pain too. We have to deal with the same staff since they are both owned by the same group. Anyone know if there is a class action lawsuit against these people I could join? I've been sick for months because of the mold.
