Maintenance was always terrbible, manager was always frightening. Then came Suzanne and her assistant. He was worthless and would not answer any questions/maybe he did not know anything. She was always honest and upfront and maintenance severely improved. She was there one day and gone the next. My neighbor said they fired her because of other residents mad about Josh' her assistant being there when she was not. I am up for renewal and about to give my 60 day notice. Make sure you take a good look at the manager where you rent-they do have a huge impact on your life maybe even more so than the apartments.

Also, Suzanne was on top of the mice problem in my apartment. Heads up Main Line apartments have a HUGE MICE PROBLEM, as well as other infestations. And the noise is unbearable lately.

They keep playing musical chairs with the managers,and they will learn that is not how I want where I live,my home, or other people's homes run.

I am also a current resident at Main Line Berwyn Apts. I agree with you that Susan was the best manager you could ask for. Always upfront, honest and on top of the problems. I know her since 2007 when I was staying at Paoli Place Apartments and Susan was (and currently is) the manager there and I always had very nice experience with her. I came to MLB only on her recommendation and the fact that she had taken over MLB leasing office. Contrary to your understanding, Susan wasn't fired. She is currently managing Paoli Place Apartments (another Westover property close by), which she was managing before coming to MLB. Today I got a chance to talk to her personally and came to know that upper management forced her to choose between the two and she chose Paoli Place. Ever since the previous manager of MLB was transferred, Susan and her assistant Jason were managing both properties between them. Later Jason became the full time manager at MLB and Susan continued with Paoli Place. Jason was fired, since people at MLB were really upset with him coz he would make a lot of promises, but failed to deliver on them. So far I've not had very pleasant experience with the new manager Kathy. She is a little rude and does not have the right attitude to empathize with resident's problems and resolve them quickly. I've been following up with her on a simple issue for 3 weeks now and still no action is taken. I wish Susan comes back to MLB, else I'll have to move out next year when my lease expires.

I'm so fed up with the lip service here. The maintenance guys explain that the buildings are old and can only do so much. Was told it's like putting "lipstick on a pig". The manager lives here and knows about the water & mold problems, the bug problem & mice issues but she, Kathy, will lie to your face and tell you she's unaware of these problems! Rents too high for having to live with these issues.

i agree with you Susanne was the best, i finally got a carpet that is totally mine, the one i moved in with 5 years ago, was owned not by the apt. but the owner who actually died on it literally. found this out from the police. but the other manager who was really ugly and self serving did nothing and was not allowed to review myh apt prior to moving in. anyway when they say garden apts. and a wooded setting. it would be nice to sit on one of the benches w/o getting a splinter in the butt, most are falling apart and dangerous to sit on. also the small bridge between B and A bldg. has been broken for over three years, just waiting for someone to break an ankle and sue the company. the maint. has gotten back to the previous manager they sit and talk with Kathy for hours and take two hour lunch breaks, and Kathy is hardly ever at the office. she is just a shoe in,it is sad that Suzanne is not here. we pay the highest prices on the main line, and get terrible service now
