I have looked at over 100 private and commercial apartments in the Pittburgh area over the last four years. The Rusty Hollow Apartments have the most to offer. There is plenty of parking and the spaces are large (my truck fit with room to open the doors on both sides).

I recommend the 2nd or 3rd floor apartments over the 1st floor. You will pay more, but it is worth it for larger windows and a balcony. The apartments offer plenty of closet space in addition to a utility room within the unit. All of the appliances are electric and the apartment heats/cools quickly. I was able to live very economically here.

Rusty Hollow consists of four buildings, each containing a centrally located laundry room with one washer and one dryer at $1.00/load/machine. The property is bordered by the Bethel Park branch of the Montour Trail which is excellent for walking, running, or riding your bike. I found this location to be very quiet and relaxing. The apartments are a good size for 1-2 people.

The property and buildings are well kept. If an issue arises it is handled promply and with courtesy by management. The year I spent at Rusty Hollow Apartments counts as one of the best rental experiences I have had. I left to move into a house, otherwise I would have stayed.

Do you have to pay for gas? Does the apartment manager inspect your apartment before deciding to renew your lease?
