Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2002
We lived at Valley Park East & West for a year. I should of known not to move in. When we were ready to sign our lease, our apartment was not ready. When it was ready, we were given 3 hours to get to the office and sign the lease or we would have lost our deposit. We moved into a beatiful freshly painted apartment. All of that came apart after a month, the paint started cracking, centipedes, ants, beetles and all kinds of termites were coming over for dinner. Our tub was coated with a plastic material that came up after three months and then we saw how nasty the tenants before us were. We called the office on numerous occasions to fix it, they never came out. Well they did, to do an inspection of all the apartments, and I told them again, and they really never bothered coming out. The staff is very rude, not the maintenance men, but the office personnel (Helen & Mary). If you do decided to move into Valley Park East & West, you better hope it doesn't snow. They do not have contractors to clean up the snow, instead the poor maintenance men (3 men team) have go around with shovels, and empty margine bowls throwing salt around, poor guys. Since leaving Valley Park, we have found an apartment complex that is so much better and termite free. Trust me, your experience will be as bad as ours.
P.S. Don't believe the front office, they increase rent every time you sign a new lease. In one year I went from $769 - $774.
