This was my 15th apartment & basically the worst. I moved from out of town & this was just temporary until I bought a house.
Bad:
The BUGS!! Okay, they probably are not in everyone's apartment, because they were all in mine (House centipedes - harmless but scary-looking)
Management staff - even before I moved in, very rude - but really, this is not a huge problem for me. And the one time something broke, it was fixed very quickly & they did call to follow up.
Basement was moldy & scary - fortunately I had a washer-dryer in my apartment, otherwise I probably would never have done laundry down there...
The pool was about a mile away - only went twice: 1st time it was covered with algae, 2nd time it was closed.
Kitchen was cute but tiny - no counterspace or room for silverware.
They would not give me back my security deposit, although I swear I did everything they told me to do to break the lease.
No security - anyone can walk into the building.

Good:
Great location - very close to everything. Landscaping was nice - made the apartment very private.
Rent was very reasonable - I chose one of the upgraded apartments - very nicely done.
Parking was never a problem.

I definitely agree with you on both issues. But will make sure i get my sec deposit when I leave. I have taken pics of all the crappy work they have done in the apt. If I do not receive my sec deposit I will sue.. and they will suffer if I request an audit.. I am soo sure of it. Best of luck to you...
