when we first looked into apartments we thought valley park south was perfect for us. it looks great on the outside, the models are fantastic, and the closeness to our jobs was a plus. we even read the reviews here and chose to ignore them! our apartment, however, when we moved in, was in very poor condition. the kitchen cabinets were in terrible condition (sticky and the drawers didnt close properly). the linoleum flooring in the main bathroom was pulling up, and the carpet has since started to fold in multiple places. the bathrooms are the worst: the tiles in the showers are buckling and the grout falling out. a ceramic soap dish simply fell off the wall and wasn't repaired for a week (when the downstairs neighbors complained about the leaking); when it was repaired it was simply glued back on and wasn't resealed. the electrical outlets have stopped working multiple times, and one of the closet doors (which never closed at all) fell off its railing entirely.
i highly suggest seeing *your* apartment first, before you move in, and you have to be willing to fight the management to get things fixed.
