This place is not the worst place I've ever lived in, but definitly not the best or even near the best.
1) Parking is more than adequate
2) Noise is minimal - however the kids in the summers can get pretty noisy
3) Safety - seems like a pretty safe area. However, I would like to see the mgmt. staff ensure ALL of the night lighting is maintained functional! It seems like they take forever to replace burnt out lights or faulty "seeing-eyes" to turn on the lights at night.
4) The grounds are fairly well maintained. A lot of the sidewalks are past their life expectancy...They should be replaced with minimizing the amount of steps.
5)Construction - the buildings are brick / stucco construction. The windows are new, the roofs seem in pretty good shape, but everything else is terrible. The kitchen has not be updated since the 1960's along with with bathrooms and HVAC systems...The washer/dryer rooms and equipment are outdated and the water leavs a funny smell on your clothes...so I just go to the local laudry mat now.
6) Maintenance - The maintenance staff doesn't seem like the sharpest tools in the shed (if you know what I mean). They mostly band-aid things instead of fixing the problem long term.
7) The office staff seems fairly friendly
8) If you are looking for a larger apartment that is outdated but safe... this is the place for you. Warning!!! Don't use the air conditioner too much or you will pass out from your electric bill. Keeping the place around 75 in the summer costs about $180 per month in electric.
