Don't Be Fooled...

It's easy to be fooled by the modern suburban exterior and the spacious interiors, but you can get a better deal elsewhere in the area, and you won't have to put up with the atrocious management of Fieldstone Associates. The appliances, cabinets, and countertops are all made with the most base level materials. You can hear your neighbors above you whenever they walk. You don't hear the neighbors next door. But the real kicker here is the management. They are liars and will make you sign a lease full of crap that they don't even honor. Their lease (section 3.8) clearly says NO PETS and goes on to define "pet". The sign out front says "NO PETS". Yet there were a number of tenants who had cats and there was one cat who would traverse the property and would jump on the hood of my car, resulting in my car being scratched. I mentioned this to management and they said that they've always allowed cats. When I said that was not what the lease said, I was told they have a special amendment for cat owners. What kind of a joke is that' Shouldn't everyone sign the same lease' I was told if I had a problem to call animal control. A joke! When you leave, you pay $145 to clean your carpets. Period. Only way around it is to pay someone to professionally clean them. Most other companies will not charge for normal wear and tear. Not here. Moving out requires 90 days notice. That's ridiculous. Most places are 60 - some 30. How do you know 3 months in advance if you'll need to move' Want a month to month lease' Be prepared to be price gouged for $300 extra PER MONTH. Want your security deposit back' Don't count on it. Want a gas grill on your patio' Sure, just keep it 10 feet away from the building - on your 5 foot patio. Fieldstone Associates is the biggest bunch of crooks/slumlords/criminals I've ever rented under. I'd never move into one of their properties again and I discourage co-workers moving into the area from living there. Do yourself a favor. STAY AWAY! While it looks nice and is generally safe, you will be ripped off by the crooks that run this place.

Your complaints are juvenile. First of all, no, not everyone is on the same lease. Reason being, this property ws sold a couple times, and had several different owners/managements. The "cat owners" are either still in a lease contract with an older managemnt company or "grandfathered" in. Period. Its not exactly friendly to say "we're the new company that will be managing this property...now get rid of your cat" Think outside the box a little Mr. Cowboy fan.
As of the $ 145 to clean your carpets...okay I think that a joke too, but its stated in YOUR lease. Mine too.
And also check out Fire Marshall Codes of PA, or the county. Grills are not regulated by the community, but rather the fire marshall. All the property is trying to do it avoid a big fat fine because per Fire Marshall Code of LeHigh Co, PA.

That's funny - you must be in bed with the crooks who run this place. Maybe next time post with a username rather than anonymously to garner more credibility. Apparently you didn't read my post very clearly. WHEN I MENTIONED TO MANAGEMENT THAT THERE WAS A CAT JUMPING ON MY CAR, THEY SAID THEY'VE ALWAYS ALLOWED CATS. I understand that they may have previously, but they need to say in the lease that they still do allow cats and that a new tenant may have a cat. Their lease clearly says you cannot have ANY PET, but the management says you can have a cat. Point is, they blatantly lie to your face and their lease is a hogwash document full of crap that they don't even honor. In fact, after re-reading your comment, you're probably the irresponsible cat owner who lets his/her (since you fail to identify yourself) cat meander the property and jump on cars. No wonder you're in bed with management. Just be lucky I never had a clear shot on that cat, or I can guarantee you it wouldn't have jumped on another car again. Yes, I know the $145 is in the lease. Never said it wasn't. But it's a joke. People should know about it before they apply, because they obviously don't tell you that until you're about to sign your lease and then they mention it. And what about the other points I make? The noise. The $300/mth for a MTM lease. 90 day notice. You never addressed any of those. That's right - you can't. Because the management of this place sucks, and your pathetic attempt to make them look good using fifth-grade name-calling terms like "juvenile" didn't work. Face it people, do you want to take your facts from someone who can't even identify themselves? The management of this place sucks - stay away!
