An experience in pain

The time I spent at the Apartments at Whitehall was the worst and most frustrating time I've ever had in my life.
The Management was horrible! It was composed entirely of one family, The mother being the manager and her son and daughter were her staff.
Within one month of our moving in, we had a flood inside our apartment; the entire living room was effected and the rug was completely saturated with dirty water. We reported it right away, but even so we were left to live in that filth for almost 2 full weeks.
Management knew that there was a problem with flooding in that apartment, but never made any attempt to repair the problem.
A few months later in the summer, there was a problem with the plumbing in the bathroom. Once again it was reported right away. Maintenance showed up within a few hours and laid down some paper towels to soak up the water, and left saying he would come back in an hour, he never did. Within the week that followed the leak had gotten so bad the bathroom floor was just one big puddle and the water was now soaking into the hallway rug and heading for the bedrooms.
After numerous pleas with management to fix the problem they still did nothing, in fact they seemed to get more hostile towards us every time we spoke to them.
Unfortunately, while this was going on we had another flood in our living room, caused by the same problem as the previous flood, that was never repaired.
The apartment was disgusting, it smelled horrible from the stagnate water and since we couldn't turn on the air conditioning because of the soaked rug, the place was hot and humid. A black mold was growing on the walls and on the furniture, and both my roommate an myself began feeling sick from it.
Knowing all this management did nothing to help and in fact seemed to be going out of their way not to. They were very rude to both my roommate and myself, they also left a very cruel, sarcastic and unprofessional letter stuck to our door, that basically said we complained too much.
After 2 months of fighting to get the repairs done, we were both finally able to move out into another apartment complex. It was like a weight had been lifted just finally being able to get out of there.
Till the very last day we were there, the living room and bathroom were still covered in water, and to add insult to injury the apartment kept our security deposit for the flood damage.
