Bad

The apartments are tiny, and poorly maintained.

Parking is horrible. There are more cars than spots, and people don't hesitate to block other cars in. They put notices out 3 times while I lived there that they were going to repave the parking lots, and that all cars had to be moved. All 3 times, no construction was done. Finally, I came out one Monday morning to find them about to tow my car. The crew had actually arrived to repave the lot, but building maintenance had waited until after 6pm Sunday night to put up the notices.

Noise was horrible, both from neighbors, from the elevated train that ran 15 feet from the apartment, and the regular freight train that ran 30 feet from the apartment.

Basement level apartments run a serious risk of flooding (and may be right next to the usually-overflowing dumpster).

I didn't see crackheads roaming the halls, although I was warned when I moved in to never leave my door unlocked, as there was apparently a tenant who liked to help herself to whatever she found in unguarded apartments. I did, however, have the excellent luck of having a date leave my apartment just as the police were dragging a man down the corridor down the hall.

This place is cheap, but you get what you pay for (not much!)
