I lived in Bristol Gardens from my birth until I was 18. As kids all we did was illegal stuff for the most part---stole stuff, sold drugs, all manner of destructive behavior. Saw my first dead body in 4th grade (it was a girl in my class's father)walking to the bus stop at T building. My friends little sister was molested behind one of the buildings. I got attacked by some crazy old man when I was 10 and my loser parents still live there with the roaches (Im 35 now). Many stabbings, a few shootings.
One good thing I still talk to a few of my friends from BG who are left with us. I had Indian, Pakistani, Korean, Jamaican, and Spanish friends. One good thing about growing up there was that. Yeah some of them stink but they were good people.
All in all if you have kids you might as well live in the Badlands in North Philly. Its probably a little cheaper and safer!!!!!!
I learned my lesson and am trying to give my kids something better--I live in the country now but I still make an appearance every now and then.

You moved out over 10 years ago. I am around your age and I do remember how the complex was ten years or more ago. What you should have also stated in your comment was that the grounds look better - you no longer have to step in mud to get to your apartment. The fact that it is much quieter now. As for crime it will be found anywhere and everywhere. However, there has been a decrease in crime. Your statement said you did illegal things while you were there - you contributed to the crime! Wow. I would like to see reviews from currect residents not someone who is basing a rating on past issues.
