If you are the type of person who enjoys listening to the train blairing outside, the fire department alarms, neighbors talking through thin walls then the mermont is the right place for you. I have had nothing but poor experiences living here. Marks & Co. is the cheepist company I have ever done business with. When it comes to maintenance requests, good luck. I went almost the entire winter without heat, because they refused to respond to my countless requests. I have had part of the ceiling fall on my car in the garage. The "hardwood" floors constantly peel and I have two random poles sticking out of my kitchen floor. I beileve that because Marks & Co. has cornered the market they believe that everything can be done with as little effort and money as possible. When I first moved in, the apartment was not ready. My lease started on June 1st, and when I arrived on June 1st, I was told to go to a hotel (on my dollar) because I was not allowed to enter the apartment! When I signed the lease they told me that they would provide me 24-hour notice (standard practice) to enter my apartment and show it to future tenets. Today, I got home, and they left a note under my door stating they had shown my apartment twice today without my knolwedge. I now do not feel safe in my own home.

I can't wait to leave this apartment building. I am fully aware that Marks & Co will not give my sec. deposit back, because they will find any excuse to keep the additional $1,000.
