Really nice apartments for the area

I have to disagree with the review from 7/27/2003. I don't think the issues the reviewed cited are really that severe. There are lamps in the common areas on the floors, but there used to be more furniture in those lobby areas. They removed the couches and tables, but left the lamps for some reason. The balconies are rusty, but I bought a $4 can of spray paint and fixed that minor eyesore problem myself.
Most supervisors have to be reactive, they can't anticipate your problems unless you tell them you have one. There are a lot of people in that building, and Rita has always responded quickly to any of our requests. Rita is super nice, and was always friendly and responsible.
The apartments are very spacious, and the sound proofing was excellent. I had a subwoofer against a common wall, and even asked my neighbors if the noise was too loud. They didn't even notice.
While the rent has risen steadily, from about $800 when we first moved in, to $990 (!) when we left, it's still a decent value for the area. Cable TV, including HBO, was included in the rent, but the electricity bills could get out of hand during the summer months. The third floor in particular is a heat trap. But that's pretty typical of most top floor apartments.
We really enjoyed our time at the Radcliffe House. Very large kitchens, with a lot of counter space. Very good closet space with a walk in closet in the bedrooms.
My only complaint was that the central AC unit didn't work very well to cool our sweltering third floor apartment, despite the $150 electricity bills. Maintenance wasn't as helpful in fixing this problem. It wasn't until an outside HVAC person came and found that the coolant level in our unit was half what it should be.
