Great value on the main line

I have lived in Radcliff house for 12 months and am very pleased with my experience here. The apartment we have is very spacious, well designed, and works well as a home for two.
Compared to other places we looked at, the main difference is the space. We have bought so much extra furniture to put in this place! Fortunately it's only a 10 minute drive from the local IKEA. Also the kitchen is nicely appointed and very big. The design is nice in that it separates the kitchen and the living room but allows you to see and talk to someone in the other room (you'll see what I mean if/when you see the place).
One other thing is the floors. They are not like the hardwood floors you see in other apartments that look worn down and creak, they are like wooden tiles that look pretty good and are solid to walk on, no creaking. They were polished before we moved in and looked brand new (still do in fact). Unlike previous posters I can definitely say that you do not have to cover the hardwood floors. Ours were uncovered the entire year, with the help of some cheap IKEA rugs to keep our feet warm.
Other than that this place is really convenient for getting into Philadelphia or to Villanova University. The apartment complex backs onto the small local train track (very quiet) which can get you to the city in about 35 minutes. This is what I used to commute to work for a year and it was fine. If you want a faster route the R5 is an 8 minute walk away and takes 25 minutes to get you to center city. Villanova is two stops in the opposite direction or a 25 minute walk.
We haven't really had much maintenance, but when we did have a issue someone always came within 24 hours and they were able to fix the problem every time.
Overall, I really enjoyed my time here and am only leaving so I can be closer to my friends and live in center city. It is a good choice if you are looking for somewhere in this area and much better than a lot of the slum-ish student apartments on Montgomery Ave.
