Ok, I guess...

I've lived at Fairmont Park Apartments for 2 years now. I probably looked at 10 apartments in the area and decided on this one. The only real reaon for anyone to move here would be the location I would say. The apartment is ok I guess. I pay $640 for a 1 bedroom. It does not have central air which sucks! The heat is electric and is ok. I do like the floor plan. The kitchen and den are open....I'm on the third floor and the floors are bad! They make so much noise...feel bad for the guy below me! The apartment they showed me was perfect....that made me mad when moving in.

The building I'm in is pretty quiet. I can't hear that much through the walls. At one time, this probably was a real nice place. It's still ok I would say. I don't like how the washer/dryer are...in the closet...not insulated that well cold air gets in.

Really the maintenance has been good. The don't come in much and when you call, they come the next day or so. The post a week or so in advance, can't complain about that.

The pool is ok, many people go though. Guest have to pay when you bring them, how nervy of them!

One cool thing is you can see fireworks from Harrisburg depending where your balcony is.

No real major complaints. If you pay your rent on time, the office doesn't bother you, case closed on that.

I think for the money, you could find a better apartment in the area though. I'm paying $640 for 1 bedroom with washer and dryer...I'm looking at the Brambles now.

Oh yea, the pool hours suck! Forget ever swimming in the dark...the pool closes like at 7pm. What the heck'

Fairmont probably had the nicest brochure package about the apartment compared to others that were from $550-$750 per month. That stood out to me when reviewing which aparment I wanted.

Conclusion: If you work downtown Harrisburg, this is a good location for you. It's a nice safe well lit aparment complex. Watch out for cops though around that complex. They love giving tickets late at night! Oh yea, no problems with snow. The clean all that up quick!
