I moved into my apartment May 07. When I got all the utilities put in my name for the new residence I forgot about some outstanding old bills I had with UGI and PP & L Electric from about 3 years ago. Both of these balances got transferred to my new account at my new residence which was fine with me as long as they did payment arrangements with me which they offered. In the beginning I struggled with my rent being paid on time. I paid 06/07 on time but my check bounced do to a direct debit I forgot I signed up for and of course I took care of it right away with property manager when I found out. July 2007 was a different story. My employer informed us that we would be getting our bonus amount in our 7/1/07 paycheck but later found out that it was not going to be until 7/27/07 paycheck. So I did not pay my rent until the end of July for July s rent but I also paid all of 08/07 rent by 8/13/07. Now I paid my 09/07 on 9/5/07 which was considered on time (thank God). So it was a struggle but now I am back on track and during this entire time I was getting phone calls from property manager and she had informed me that my rent should be my first priority. So that s what I have done and put all other bills on the back burner per say until the end of the month when I get my 2nd paycheck of the month. the property manager was made well aware of each individual incident in writing and I kept in constant contact with her about it. All my utility bills were up to date and current however are paid with my second paycheck of the month. So when I make a payment arrangement with PPL Electric Utilities, I ended up breaking the payment arrangement to pay my rent which in turn makes PPL Electric Utilities send a 10-day shut-off notice to me as well as the leasing office. I pay an extra $40.00 a month on top of my current bill to take care of this old bill from 3 years ago as a payment arrangement. I am fine with this however I have had the property manager calling me at least 2-3 times a month telling me verbally that this is a violation of my lease & to get it taken care of or she will file with the district justice office and have me evicted for this issue of getting these notices. I asked her how it s a violation of my lease and she advised that every time she gets a 10-day shut-off notice for this utility bill that it s a violation of my lease for non-compliance. I told her that she never gets a letter stating that they physically shut-off the utility so the notice should not matter to her and that it s my business. I get the same answer every time that it s a violation of my lease and she can t keep protecting me and sticking up for me. Protecting me and sticking up for me for what exactly' I have reviewed my lease and it does not state anywhere that this is a violation and she has never sent me a formal letter stating that it is in the lease as a violation. It just states that the Utilities are my responsibility. She has harassed me and put the fear of GOD into me that she can have me evicted for getting theses notices in her office which I think is quite petty since I haven t had the utility shut off yet and it never comes even close to them turning it off because I keep in close contact with PPL Electric Utilities every month. I have now gotten in contact with PPL Electric Utilities (9/25/07) and they set me up on a budget billing plan now instead of a payment arrangement. They informed me that they sent a 10-day shut-off notice again on 9/24/07 with a shut-off date of 10/4/07. Which means yet again I was going to get a phone call from the property manager harassing me and threatening eviction again. I don t think that she should have been harassing her tenants like this about something so petty especially since it is obvious that I have taken care of the bill and the shut-off notices since my utility has never been turned off. I am physically at my wits end with her harassing me. I have enough to worry about other then her calling me 1-2 times a month threatening eviction all the time for a piece of paper. I already have anxiety attacks as it is about my other issues and she is just making it worse. I have gotten notice that this property manager is no longer the property manager of Long Meadows Apartments and that makes me feel a little better. Onto other issues. About 2 months ago I had gotten in my closet to get sweatshirt and notice a huge black mold spot on the ceiling in my living room closet. I immediately contacted the leasing office about it and they sent someone right away. The maintenance man cut the black mold spot out and realized that a pipe had burst and was leaking all over. A plumber came in the next day and fixed it. They left the gapping hole all weekend which was not acceptable and I had put a fan in the closet to dry the ceiling. I noticed 3 days later that it started to leak really bad again and I called and they realized that it burst again. The plumber was called back out and he fixed the leak. Well they couldn t do the drywall right away because of the moisture, understandable. I told the maintenance guys that the drywall had not been done yet and they kept reassuring me that someone would be in to do it. They finally covered the hole but then never painted it or finished it up. They finally finished it a week and a half ago and I put my stuff back in my closet. It took them a whole month to fixed it. I got a call from the new property manager and was told the pipe burst again and they had to rip apart my closet again. Inexcusable. Now I have to deal with a gapping hole in my closet again and bugs getting into my apartment from the storage room and all. I understand that this is not teh new property managers fault and I am definitely not going to take it out on her but I am not a happy person at this point living in this apartment. I definitely don t want to go over the property managers head however she is new I don t want this to be her issue since the previous property manager was a big part of my unsatisfactory feeling at this point. I have also had a problem with the upstairs neighbors. They are loud. They stomp around the apartment all hours of the night. They fight, a lot. Screaming matches and throwing things. I called the leasing office once about it and they told me to call the police. I didn t because I didn t want to be that neighbor , if that makes sense. Now when I sit on my porch outside at the present time, the guy that lives there is just a hog. He sits on the balcony talking on his phone and cursing up a storm and being loud and smoking off his balcony and they spits into my bushes and my porch while I am sitting right there. I am not happy with the apartment or the previous property manager or the neighbors and I am just not happy. I definitely don t think this apartment is worth $585.00 a month at the present time and I don t think I am getting what I paying for. I lived in 11A apartment 202 for 2 months and I think that apartment was nicer and better then the apartment the previous property manager put me in. I would definitely not recommend living at this complex. It's crappy!

PMI is no ones friend. I rent a townhome at a PMI managed property. Would never recommend and am looking forward to moving out asap. Too much money for 1960's original sliding doors/windows, outdated kitchens, old furnace. Not to mention several new tenants who are juvenile delinquents requiring police visits. Drug dealers. Inconsistent collection of additional rent from pet owners. Pay more for unit w carpeting but not notified of this when given rates before signing lease. Rumors closing pool because do not want to fix it because "noone uses it anyway". Pool has "attendants" who do not supervise only babysit. Under 12 kids allowed in. Inappropriate sexual activity tolerated. That being said the only highlight is the pool and the community park. With the pool gone it's even less of a value.

Sadly, the beautiful trees and great location are only part of the problem. The influx of foreigners (too many) have brought bedbugs, roaches, trash all over. They mingle in the parking lots all evening and vandalism is now a problem when it didn't use to be.
