My experience has been mixed. I moved into my apartment with a roommate in July 2005 and we will move out in July 2007. Our living room/dining area is huge but the bedrooms are small.

Each apartment is individually owned so your experience may depend on who your landlord is. Our landlord has been great; he has been quick to respond to and fix the problems that we have encountered.

The walls are thin and we can hear everything that goes on above us. We can also hear a lot of what goes on around us. We live on the 1st floor but I have a feeling that if you live on the 2nd or 3rd, you can probably hear what goes on below you. There are a decent number of children and teenagers around. There haven't been too many problems, but a few times, I've been rather annoyed.

Parking is bad because you only get one parking spot for each apartment. This is great if you live by yourself but is a pain if you have company or if you live with a roommate. Also, people will park in your space. Sometimes my neighbors just can't read and park in our space. Other times, their friends park in our space. I don't understand how people could be that rude, but it has happened at least 15 times.

Utility costs haven't been too bad, although the windows are a bit drafty. These apartments were built in the early 1980's. There are not spectacular but are adequate. Like I said, each apartment is individually owned so some may have been remodeled. Ours has not.

Overall, I was say that my experience was mostly positive, save for the noise and the parking situation.
