I am young so Whittiers price was just right for me. The kitchen won me over and I really did not think the place would be that bad. After moving in other tenents warned me that the place was horrible. (If only i would have listened) Started with them braking my lease by trying to force me to pay for water! Lets say I did not pay. Let me start out with some of my experiences, the building was falling apart, in winter the cold air came in threw my patio, windows, door, I only had 1 air conditoner in my apartment to cool down the whole place. Hot water only lasted 5-6 minutes at the most. I had "fruit flies" very bad all over my kitchen. The carpet was shampooed when I first moved in and when I got to finally take a closer look at it there were stains all over the place, the windows and blinds needed to be replaced. The walls were painted with a spray gun and paint was EVERYwhere. The stairs going into the basement were falling apart and out front of the building we didnt have the light above the door or the light on the front of the building working for about 3 months. The parking lot was completly dark and unsafe. Walls were paper thin and you could hear EVERYTHING.

Wanna hear the best of my review' They decided to do inspections of your apartments and then canceled because they were busy. April 6th at 5:30am to smoke throughout my whole apartment. I couldnt see in front of me and ran into the living room and heard police yelling get out the building is on fire. NO SMOKE ALARMS WORKED!!!!! My boyfriend and I got out thank god and waited out front with the rest of the tenents. It was a BIG alarm 3 fire and it turned out to be arson in the basement. We were left homeless and Whittier did NOTHING for us. I had stuff STOLEN from my apartment while I was not alloud into the building. They went through my dressers and took jewerly from me. My neighbor said they took state quarters from her. They basically said it was not their problem and terimnated our leases and made us move all of our stuff out in 3 days only between certain hours (which were 8am-4pm, PEOPLE WORK) We were thrown out and they didnt help at all. Worse of all they made us clean out our storage bins that were all black and burnt.

Turned out there was a fire in a basement 2 weeks before ours and what they said they didnt feel the need to tell anyone and that it wasnt related even though that one was labeled suspicous... They are known for fires... STAY away...
