I really enjoyed the year I lived at Ventana. The only reason I left was because my job moved me abroad, but I would move back in a heartbeat.

The gate doesn't always work but I felt safe regardless.

I loved having the Montour trail nearby to use when I jogged or biked. Yes, you do have to go down a steep hill to get there, but Ventana is located on a large hill. It would be silly to think you wouldn't have to go down the hill to get to a 20 mile trail.

The staff was always very helpful and friendly. They would always say "hello" when I would see them walking around or when I attended one of the monthly luncheons. They were prompt about answering maintenance requests too.

There was not a noise problem in my apartment building. It was a pet-free building, so no issue with animal noise. There was a little girl that lived above me and ran around sometimes, but that kind of noise is to be expected. It's an apartment complex not a private home; people should expect to have others living on all sides of them!

This apartment was really nice, but I won't give you the unrealistic idea that it was perfect. There are groups that gather at the pool during the day and clubhouse at night. (Though I lived in the building next to the pool and was never kept up at night by them.) There will undoubtedly be maintenance problems that occur, but I found that they were addressed promptly. The gym is small, but has the basic equipment. I guess the true testament I can give is that I recommended this place to two of my co-workers, who moved in recently.
