I have lived at Ventana hills now for 2 yrs. My lease is up in Feb and as much as I would like to stay here just to avoid they inconvenience of moving. They have priced me out. I moved to Ventana Hills in Feb of 2007. I had lived in apartments all thru my college days and was kind of prepared to live that way again. I understand with apartments you do have to deal with some of the inconveniences(noise, parking)just overall lack of privacy. I was and am fine with that situation once i conceded to the fact that it would be what I had to expect. I did like Ventana hills for the facade that they show. And tho it had been years since I had been in an apt I figured the old adage "you get what you pay for". Unfortunately that proved to be false with Ventana hills. They have spent WAAY too much on the outside/grounds etc...but lacked the same quality with the actual structure. The girl who lives above me is an average size person. But it sounds like she weighs 200 lbs and does jumping jacks when she walks through her apt. Again, I understand with apt living that is to be expected. But with the price I am paying and IT KEEPS RISING HUGE AMOUNTS every year. I had hoped for better. I had my vehicle broken into and my stereo and GPS system stolen. I reported it to the office and they advised, "yes they had had those types of reports". In regards to the office however I have found the personnel to be VERY FRIENDLY! The actual structure of the apt is very lacking. The floor is coming up, the lock on the pressed particle board molding just rips out of the wall. I think you get the picture. They spent money to make it look good however the quality is that of a lesser apt. I'm fine with that however if I'm getting lesser quality why would i pay for the MOST EXPENSIVE APT in the area' Really i give the analogy of a nice looking person. Sometimes people spend a lot of time on the exterior only to hide the ugliness inside. Once they raise my rent by another 80 dollars per month at the end of this lease........I'm out.
