Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2008
My boyfriend and I lived here for 3 months or so with his work group for summer. That being said, we didn't pay the rent so I can't comment on how over or under priced the units might be...
The quality of construction was adequate and nice, but poor for what you'd expect by looking at the exterior. That's just how pretty much all new construction is though, so I can't really blame them. It's the industry's problem.
I liked the layout of our apartment a lot, and the gigantic master bedroom was amazing for sleeping in. It was like a big comfy cave. Somehow, the bathroom never fogged up either when we took showers. I think there was good ventilation, without it ever being really cold...
I think the speed bumps they installed at the office were annoying. They were too high when a smaller bump would have worked just as well... luckily, we moved out soon after they did this.
Maintenance came quickly when we needed them. Our pilot light kept going out on our water heater, which was really irritating... but they always came and fixed it. Our apartment had been vacant for a few years before we moved in, so all of these little problems were expected. They were good with fixing them though.
My favorite thing about this apartment was the design of the apartments on the hill. You parked and walked around the complex at mid-level, so us being on technically the third story was still really comfortable because we only had one flight of stairs. The people on the "first" level had to go down a flight of stairs. This made for a really nice layout with the giant walking belt behind the apartments, with amazing views. It was gorgeous for me, coming from Arizona, to have instant access to amazing views of the forest in the rain!
I'd suggest this apartment to anyone if they can get a decent price on it. I'd definitely go back.
