I just left DC after being there for 4 years. Honestly, I stayed for so long because it was cheap for the time being. Management is horrible. I asked for things to be fixed numerous times and my issues were never addressed. The problems continued after I moved out. They apparently "lost" my prorated rent for the month of June and could not even tell me if they received my keys which were with the prorated rent. I suggest rent there if you are just looking for a cheap place. Don't expect any frills. bYr9ljUwtCbMRXE8dRDC

You sound like a complainer & perhaps you should be better organized. In the years that I lived at DC, the management was gracious and accomodating. It wasn't a matter of you get what you pay for...I could of afforded much more, but chose to live there for the convenience and charm. Maybe YOU got out of it what YOU put into it. I lived in two different apts at DC and both of my places were lovely. Do a search of a one mile radius of the area - then you'll truly see what you get is really what you pay for and DC by far exceeds what the others have to offer. Also, you gave the parking a "3" with a "1" rating for the construction and office staff?? I think you are not only mistaken but confused as well. Please tell me - oh please do - where you will find a better constructed building? The building was constructed in the 20's and is the epitome of a well built structure and full of charm.

Yikes - you must be an owner, manager or just an idiot. The"epitome of charm" MAYBE in 1925 but in 2005 with NO UPKEEP it is a suburban ghetto. Hallways that need a coat of paint, rugs that are threadbare and stained, no amount of vacuuming will help (and I have seen the poor cleaning lady trying her best.) The paint on the doors throughout the building is peeling off, elevators that often do not work,(people were trapped when I lived there) lobby with NO SECURITY, the entire neighboorhood knows the security code (I left 2 years ago and I would bet it is the same.) Inside and outside lights that remain burned out for weeks sometimes months, broken mailboxes in the lobby. The Post Office's policy regarding deliveries: they will not leave any pakages in the lobby due to THEFT. Nice, huh. The seniors in the building think it is OK to leave their garbage out in the hallways until they walk to the dumpster. Granted, it can be a few days before they make the trip so you are treated to the smell. The walls in the apartments are paper thin. I could hear EVERYTHING that went on around me - people's conversations/arguments, their music and TV's, etc, etc. The basement is disgusting with exposed pipes and wires not to mention the piles of abestos from the CRUMBLING foundation of this "well constructed building". You are also treated to the smell of what could only be raw sewage as you walk through the basement after it has been raining OH is the basement/laundy room still flooding!!! That was a treat also. Mud, mud, mud everywhere. "I could of afforded much more, but chose to live there for the convenience and charm" You ARE an idiot.
